Success Story | WAP Microloans
Through WAP, women are gaining access to small loans that help them grow their businesses, increase their income, and strengthen their household stability.
The CoLF savings and loan groups create opportunities for women to invest in their own skills and ideas — from vegetable trading to livestock and other small enterprises.
Eniyish Yilak’s story is one example of this impact: with a small loan, she was able to expand her business, repay the loan, and reinvest her profit.
Microloans may be small, but their impact is lasting. They help women build confidence, resilience, and a more secure future for themselves and their families.

🫒 Update from our olive nursery in Al-Bab, North-West Syria.
After 12 months of implementation, 99% of planned activities have been completed with one still ongoing: our olive nursery.
Using smart systems to regulate light, temperature, and humidity, the nursery ensures optimal growing conditions for local Syrian olive varieties.
What`s next:
🌱 15,000 olive seedlings currently in cultivation
👩🌾 75 farmers identified to receive olive trees for the first time
🌳 200 plants per farmer — distributed in October/November for the best survival rate
The roots are taking hold. 🌱

As part of our Bringing Solar Energy to Al-Bab initiative, we recently installed two mobile solar-powered irrigation systems and they`re now directly supporting the olive farmers we work with through our Olive Oil Project.
This is what integrated support looks like: cleaner energy, more reliable water access, and stronger livelihoods for Syrian farming communities.
